Aged Out: The Stories that Built Us

Feb 18, 2019

Hallie was only 3 years old when she entered the foster care system. Even that young age, she still vividly remembers moving from motel to motel with her biological parents and the domestic violence incident that ultimately led to her removal. Hallie was once adopted by her grandparents, but then reentered the foster care system after her grandfather’s death at age 13. She experienced 9 different placements, including a mental hospital and an RTC.  Hallie is now living at Zoie’s Place and is working and going to school full time to accomplish her dream of becoming a criminal profiler.

If you are a former foster child who aged out of the system and want to share your story, email us at agedoutproject@gmail.com! You deserve to be heard.
